Terms of Service & Billing Policy

Welcome to Run Your Personal Best. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your coaching relationship with Run Your Personal Best LLC ("we," "us," "our," or "RYPB"). By signing up for coaching services, you agree to the terms outlined below. Please read them carefully. Effective Date: April 22, 2026

 

1. Coaching Services

​When you become a client, you receive:

 

  • A custom training plan built and adjusted for your goals, schedule, and experience

  • Ongoing messaging access with your coach

  • One 30-minute coaching call per month allowance

  • Workout feedback and training analysis

  • Guidance on race strategy, recovery, and training adjustments

 

Your coach will respond to messages within 24 hours, Tuesday through Sunday. We are off on Mondays. Holiday responses are not guaranteed but often happen.

2. Billing

Monthly subscription. Coaching is billed on a month-to-month basis. There is no minimum commitment — you may cancel at any time in accordance with Section 3.

 

Billing cycle. Your card is charged on the same date each month based on your original signup date. For example, if you sign up on the 14th, you will be billed on the 14th of each subsequent month.

 

Payment method. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By signing up, you authorize RYPB to charge your payment method on file on each billing date until you cancel.

 

Price changes. We may adjust our rates from time to time. If we change your rate, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance. You may cancel before the new rate takes effect if you do not wish to continue.

3. Cancellation

How to cancel. To cancel your coaching subscription, email us at cory@runyourpersonalbest.com. (We may add a self-service cancellation portal in the future; if so, that method will also be accepted.)

 

When cancellation takes effect. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current paid billing cycle. You will not be charged for the following month, provided you cancel before your next billing date.

 

Access after cancellation. We handle wind-down on a case-by-case basis. In most cases you will retain coaching access through the end of your paid period. We reserve the right to adjust this based on the circumstances of the cancellation.

 

Late cancellations. If you cancel after your billing date has already processed, the charge stands and you remain a client through that billing cycle. See Section 4 for refund policy.

4. Refunds

No refunds on completed billing cycles. Once a monthly payment has been charged, it is non-refundable. This is because:

 

  • Training plans are custom-built and delivered at the start of each cycle

  • Coach time, messaging access, and call availability are reserved for you throughout the month

  • The value of coaching is delivered continuously, not on a per-workout basis

 

Exceptions. At our sole discretion, we may issue a refund or credit in cases of:

 

  • Duplicate or erroneous charges

  • Charges processed after a timely cancellation request

  • Billing errors on our end

 

Refund requests outside these categories will be reviewed individually but are not guaranteed.

5. Pausing Your Coaching

Life happens — injuries, travel, work demands, family needs. We offer flexible pause options on a case-by-case basis.

 

To request a pause, email cory@runyourpersonalbest.com with your reason and preferred pause length. During an approved pause, billing is suspended and coaching activity is placed on hold. We'll agree on a resume date in writing.

 

Pause requests are granted at our discretion. We generally aim to accommodate reasonable requests, particularly for injury, illness, or significant life events.

6. Failed Payments

If a scheduled payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry the charge over several days. If the charge continues to fail, we will reach out to you personally to resolve the issue. Coaching may be paused if payment is not resolved within a reasonable time.

7. Termination by RYPB

We reserve the right to end a coaching relationship, with or without a prorated refund at our discretion, in the following circumstances:

 

  • Non-payment after reasonable attempts to resolve

  • Abusive, harassing, or disrespectful behavior toward our coaches or staff

  • Requests for training guidance we believe to be unsafe, including coaching through serious injury against medical advice, or requests that conflict with responsible coaching practice

 

We will always try to resolve issues in good faith before terminating, but your safety and the wellbeing of our team come first.

8. Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

 

  • Provide accurate information about your health, injury history, and training background

  • Consult a physician before beginning a training program if you have any medical conditions or concerns

  • Follow training guidance at your own discretion and stop any activity that causes pain or injury

  • Communicate openly with your coach about how training is going

9. Assumption of Risk

Running and endurance training carry inherent risks, including injury. By working with RYPB, you acknowledge these risks and agree that you are participating voluntarily. RYPB is not liable for injuries, illnesses, or other adverse outcomes resulting from your training.

10. Intellectual Property

All training plans, written content, and coaching materials provided to you are for your personal use only. You may not share, redistribute, resell, or publish RYPB materials without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RYPB's total liability to you for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active clients by email. Continued use of our coaching services after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
