About Kylee Van Horn, RDN

Kylee holds a B.A. in Biology/Pre-Veterinary Medicine from the University of Richmond, a B.S. in Human Nutrition from Metropolitan State University in Denver, and successfully concluded her dietetic internship at the University of Northern Colorado. Specializing in virtual sports nutrition coaching for endurance athletes, she has garnered considerable acclaim as a sought-after nutrition coach in the US and international endurance sports world. 


Kylee's insights are featured monthly in Trail Runner Magazine as a columnist and she has also made contributions to Outside Magazine Online


Kylee is driven by a purpose, a determination to sift through the nutrition truths amidst the fads. Her mission is to alter the narrative within the endurance community, shifting it from the notion that 'thinner is superior' to one that applauds well-being and performance, irrespective of body size.


Navigating fueling strategies need not be intricate. As a dietitian specializing in endurance sports nutrition, she guides athletes in reshaping their perspectives, helping them devise an athlete-centered nutrition regimen that paves the way toward achieving their health and performance-driven aspirations.

1-on-1 Nutrition Coaching


Designed to cater to road, trail or ultra runners seeking guidance and reinforcement to implement significant sports nutrition transformations, this 3-month sports nutrition coaching program presents an ideal solution. Following an initial consultation and the establishment of a strategic plan, you will enjoy unrestricted chat correspondence with Kylee. Additionally, the program includes supplementary sports nutrition resources and weekly progress evaluations accompanied by ongoing goal setting throughout the collaborative period.

  • Initial 60-minute video or phone consultation with a sports dietitian nutritionist to establish your customized roadmap 

  • Five x 30-minute follow-up phone or video sessions every other week following the initial session that will address sport-specific nutritional challenges

Single Race Day Fueling Strategy


Are you preparing for an upcoming race but haven't delved into the intricate details of your fueling strategy? This one-hour individual session is designed to explore your specific event in-depth. It encompasses educational insights into the components your plan should contain. You'll collaboratively construct a comprehensive race plan, so it is important to allow ample time for testing and adjustments well in advance. It's advisable to schedule your fueling session 3-6 months ahead of your target event to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Figure out fueling options that fit together practically and are performance oriented based on your target race(s)
