Three Run Your Personal Best athletes toed the line this past month, Bradley N., Shrenik S., and Keith C.
New Hope High School Junior Bradley N. raced the 3000 and mile at Lehigh University for 10:40 and close indoor mile PR of 5:09. Bradley’s outdoor mile PR is 5:00. With a couple more training and a large track Bradley is well on his way to going sub 5 min for the mile.
Shrenik S. traveled to the warmer temps of FL (sounds good right now, right?) to run the Donna Marathon with his brother to help fight Breast Cancer.
Training only two-four days per week due to his job as a doctor and family, Shrenik ran an amazing time of 4:18:50! Taking the first ½ of the race cautiously he ran a HUGE negative split. Running 2:14 for the first half and 2:04 for the second half! Shrenik is an incredibly talented runner and would amaze me each week with his fast paced long runs.
Despite the cold temps and snow our newest athlete, Keith C. toed the line twice in February competing in the Ugly Mudder Trail Race and Frostbite 5 Miler.
Running for Rosemont Running Keith finished 32nd out of 300 runners in the Ugly Mudder 7 mile trail race despite losing one of shoes in the snow halfway through the race.
Then the following weekend in freezing temps Keith raced in the hilly Frostbite 5 Miler in Ambler finishing 39th out of over 1,000 runners in a time of 31:47.
Nicely done Keith! Keep an eye on him, as I suspect as the temps start to rise his times will start to drop.
